Description

De TARDIS debuteerde in het eerste Doctor Who -verhaal 'een onaards kind'. Het idee om door tijd en ruimte te reizen in wat leek op een politiebox was revolutionair. De exterieur TARDIS -prop was geen exacte replica van een echte politiebox.

Het werd ontworpen door Peter Brachacki en was een beetje korter en smaller dan het echte werk en had geen deurgrepen. De eerste versie kreeg een nieuwe lamp in het tweede seizoen, maar bleef anders ongewijzigd tot het vierde seizoen.

Het model van Master Replica is gebouwd door Gavin Rymill. Het is 1:21 schaal en staat 130 mm lang aan de bovenkant van de lamp.
